Sonic Adventure 2
Months ago I put Sonic Adventure 2 on my 10 worst Sonic games. And everyday I get more and more emails about people bitching that it's their favorite Sonic game. I really don't care if it's your favorite Sonic game especially if you can't back it up saying that it's the best.
When you compare SA2 to SA1 it's completely sub par. SA1 was an adventure for each character, SA2 is an "adventure" for 3 characters at once and there's no adventure fields, how can you call a game an adventure without it. That's why SA1 felt like an adventure because you had to travel from place to place to progress the story. SA2 was just on autopilot, instead of going from adventure field to stage to cut-scene and back again it was cut-scene to stage and back again. Sonic Heroes did the same thing but it was returning to the more classic style of gameplay and wasn't an "adventure."
The voice acting for Sonic was bad, I know it was the same guy from the first SA, Ryan Drummond but he constantly pronounced emerald wrong. He pronounced it phonetically as em-ER-ald, why did he do that? He pronounced it fine in the first game.
The story was really bad too, it was a story of revenge that cops out at the end. Shadow wakes up and is pissed that Maria is dead and wants to do something that involves the ARK and the Eclipse Cannon, it's not really specified what HE wants. But we know what Eggman wants, world domination and Shadow is helping him. At the end Shadow remembers that Maria wanted him to make people happy and protect them, just because the plot says so, not due to character development.
The levels were poor, most of them were just copies of each other. Like Green Jungle and White Jungle? Come on, I know they're in the same place when this happens but that's just lazy. Sonic only have 5 stages and Shadow had 4 for a total of 9 stages. Tails had 4, Eggman had 5 also a total of 9 stages. Knuckles had 5 and Rogue had 4 also a total of 9.
Sonic and Shadow share 3 similar stages:
City Escape = Radical Highway
Green Forest = White Jungle
Final Rush = Final Chase
They're not even being subtle with the last 2.
Tails and Eggman share 3 similar stages:
Prison Lane = Iron Gate
Hidden Base = Sand Ocean
Eternal Engine = Lost Colony and Cosmic Wall
Eggman also repeats two of his own stages.
Knuckles and Rogue share 4 similar stages:
Wild Canyon = Dry Lagoon
Aquatic Mine = Security Hall (both are enclosed vertical stages just with different looks)
Death Chamber = Egg Quarters
Meteor Heard = Mad Space
There's 27 stages (the two driving stages don't count as those are more of a mini-game) 9 of them are speed stages, 9 of them are shooting stages and 9 are treasure hunting and 21 of those stages are the same.
Yes in Sonic Adventure there were 11 stages and they were repeated as well, but they were part of the story as it was all set in Station Square and the stages are retooled for each character. They weren't trying to pass off the same stages as different ones like how SA2 did. Also SA1 gave you a different experience for each character, SA2 gave you the same experience for two characters. SA1 had different upgrades for different characters, SA2 had the same upgrades for each character. And SA2 threw in a bunch of stupid advertisements most fake, some not. It's fine if there's a few, there was a few in SA1 but in SA2 they just went crazy with them and even more so in SA2 Battle.
SA2 also added the action button, the button that did everything and always did everything wrong at the wrong time. Need to light dash? Nope you're doing the bounce attack and plummeting to your death. Need to use the mystic melody? Nope you're somersaulting, spin dashing or attacking. One button that does everything is a bad idea and I'm glad that after Sonic 2006 they got rid of it because they couldn't program it right.
I pin most of the blame on Yuji Naka, because the games started going down hill when Sonic went from 2D to 3D and the pinnacle of the suck vortex was Sonic 2006 and after he left the games started getting better. Like the day stages of Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. I think Yuji Naka wanted to get fired from Sega so he was making the games progressively worse but since Sega wouldn't fire him, he left to make Prope.
But that's why I don't like Sonic Adventure 2.

Sonic Fags.... ugh
Last night I got an comment from a YouTuber on my Top 10 Worst Sonic Characters video. Saying, and I'm quoting "SILVER,knux, chip, rouge, OR vector dont belong here. U BELONG THERE." My first thought is, oh yay, more hate mail. But first and foremost, I must tell this person that their grammar is completely off.
If you're going to insult me, do it properly. Use correct spelling and grammar because you're only making yourself look like an uneducated idiot and will only prove me right when I reply to you. So therefore I'm already being too generous by giving you the chance to rewrite your statement to look like something an intelligent person would say, so maybe then what you say will hold some merit.
But then I get this as a reply, "What the fuck! Well, you don't have to make an entire video insulting someone's creations. By the way, I'm not writing to someone important (which you aren't), so what's the use.... -_- There, with your beautiful and wonderful punctuation, spelling, and grammar."
If I'm not important, why are you wasting your time? By saying I'm not, you've defeated the purpose of your reply yourself. And yes I don't have to, I wanted to. There's a difference between "have to" and "want to," one is obligation, the other is not. And to get to the really absurd point of the entry is that this person is defending fictional characters, FICTIONAL CHARACTERS! Someone is butthurt because I didn't like a fictional character.
I may not be important, but the issue of insulting fictional characters in their favorite franchise is important to this person to the point where they are defending the characters. If you are defending fictional characters, you really need to learn to draw the line between fantasy and reality. And that video has about 10k views and most of the comments are people raging that I didn't like these characters.
My Top 10 Worst Sonic Games get a lot of hate because of Sonic Adventure 2 mostly. The game had only 9 speed stages and 18 crappy shooting or treasure hunting ones. That's not a Sonic game and when you compare it to Sonic Adventure and Sonic heroes, it doesn't feel like a Sonic game at all.
I've gotten a few comments where people said they liked the characters/games I listed, but they were reasonable with their comments, even respecting my opinion or saying that what I said took balls.
And that's the difference between Sonic fans and Sonic fags. The fans are reasonable and will admit when something is shit or agree with you wen you make a valid point. Sonic fags will like everything regardless of quality and will defend it tooth and nail and will refuse to listen to any valid points you bring up.

Captain Planet and the Planeteers Review
I hated this game. Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this game. Hated it. Hated every simpering stupid vacant player-insulting moment of it. Hated the sensibility that thought anyone would like it. Hated the implied insult to the player by its belief that anyone would be entertained by it.
I may have to change the Bubsy 3D rating to Captain Planet after this.

Sonic Generations Review
I beat Sonic Generations last night, I downloaded the PC version because it was cheaper and because I don't have a 360 or PS3. The game is programmed very well and it's overall fun, I love the voice acting in it, it's the best voice acting that any Sonic game ever had and have no complaints on it whatsoever. The music is amazing, the remixes of the old songs are done fantastically.
They break the fourth wall in a very subtle way. After completing Green Hill, Sonic asks if it's familiar to Tails, who says that it's not to him, as he wasn't in the first game. In the final confrontation, modern Sonic and Tails refer to Robotnik as Eggman, then classic Tails calls Robotnik, Dr. Robotnik, who in turn says that no one calls him that anymore.
I do have plenty of nitpicks though...
The level selection is sub-par, Sky Sanctuary, while it looks great, could of been substituted for Death Egg or maybe even Launch Base. There's Speed Highway and City Escape, which are rather redundant as they're both taking place in a city. Lost Temple would of been a better replacement for Speed Highway. Seaside Hill is also the worst choice from Sonic Heroes, as Hang Castle or Egg Fleet would of been better choices. The modern selection is good, but I don't think it was really needed as those games are really recent, Crisis City is alright to have but Rooftop Run and Planet Wisp are too recent to have included.
The level design is good, but some could be better, like City Escape should of been longer, it was way to short for what is the middle of the game, especially when you look at Speed Highway and the Seaside Hill. Seaside Hill is a poor excuse for an underwater stage, it wasn't an underwater stage in Sonic Heroes so why now? And Planet Wisp is just too fucking long.
There isn't enough Robotnik, ever since Unleashed he's been a really awesome villain, he's funny and is more active in his plans. You only hear his voice twice, before and after the first boss and only see him twice, after the third boss and before the last.
Now onto actual criticisms,
There's only 4 boss fights. Death Egg Robot, Perfect Chaos, Egg Dragoon and Time Eater. All the bosses only take about 4 or 5 hits, with the second to last hit being the actual final blow with the last one being for cinematic purposes only.
Super Sonic is handled very poorly, after you beat the game you get Super Sonic as a skill. It takes 100 skill points, effectively making it so you can't use any other skills. As Super Sonic your ring count drains faster than one ring per-second, it's about one ring per .75 seconds. Using the boost sucks up your rings at about 10 rings per-second. Super Sonic also moves a lot slower than normal Sonic so it's not really worth it.
There's very few rings in the stages and they're far and few between. And there's too many spikes in the game, they're in every stage even in stages that had no spikes in their original incarnation. Classic Sonic will loose rings the most because they put enemies on the edges of ledges, so jumping onto that ledge will enure that you're going to lose your rings. While you don't lose all your rings when you get hit, you lose a ton of them and you can only pick up a few. So if you drop 20 rings, you can only pick up about 5, even if you're touching them.
If I were to give my usual ratings, it would be a Decent game. It's pretty lazy that they're using time travel as a basis for a story again. The game is a nice attempt to please Sonic fans, giving the old school gameplay and the modern gameplay, although the modern gameplay is essentially classic gameplay with a few tweaks. While not suffering from any of the problems that previous games like Sonic 2006 or Sonic Unleashed had, it just feels like they were just being lazy, as if they wanted to show 20 years of Sonic and make a game out of it.
But Sonic Generations is prime real estate for DLC levels. Sega would be fools not to have more levels added in like Starlight Zone, Death Egg or others as there are certainly more memorable levels than the ones they chose for this game. But since Sega are fools and are no longer the once mighty gaming company they once were, I don't see this happening. I know Casino Night is coming as a DLC, but that's just a pinball mini game and no one really cares for Sonic pinball games.

Kim Kardashian - Ignoring it will make it go away
So it's big news that Kim Kardashian got divorced in 72 hours after getting married. It's not called a divorce, it's called an annulment first off. And secondly, why do people still care about her?
Why are they famous? Just because their father was OJ's lawyer? "We're the daughters of OJ's lawyer, give us a TV show!"
The Kardashians are fucking morons that need to be purged from this earth if we are ever to increase the intelligence of the world, same with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. I'd say Brittney Spears, but no one gives a crap about her anymore, she's run her life into the ground.
And Kim Kardashian thought she could sing? Remember that song she released, it was hated just as much as Rebecca Black's song.
No one cares about these rich spoiled brats but yet our media just forces them down our fucking throats. They haven't done anything except make asses out of themselves and no one wants to see it because it's stupid.
If we as people just stopped watching the news reports or stopped clicking on links about these stories, then they would stop reporting on it and these morons would disappear.
These rich, young women, who are only famous for being young and the offspring of someone rich and famous. They're just attention seekers, that's all.

Apple vs Samsung II
Well now, Samsung should be kicking themselves. Spanish tablet maker is NT-K, just won a lawsuit that Apple has filed against them. NT-K made an Android tablet and then Apple came in a said they were infringing on their iPad design.
Well NT-K proved that their tablet was not infringing on Apple's patents or design and are now COUNTER-SUING Apple for anti-competitive behavior.
Ever since the iPhone Apple has been throwing their weight around, suing all sorts of Android device manufacturers for infringement. They've even said that they copied the overall look of the iPad. How does that hold up in court? The LOOK of the device is grounds for a lawsuit? How are you supposed to make a tablet then? That's the equivalent to a utensil company suing another because they made a knife. No shit, that's how it's supposed to look otherwise it wouldn't be a knife then, it'd be a spoon or or fork.
But anyway, this small little company won the infringement lawsuit and hopefully they win the counter-suit. Anyone with a brain can tell that what Apple is doing is anti-competitive behavior. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, but apparently the court systems need to get a brain from the Wizard of Oz because they can't fucking see that.

A Quest for Pizza
Normally I don't go out of the house for too many reasons, but today was one of those reasons that reaffirms why I shouldn't.
I was craving pizza for lunch today, so I decided to try out one of the local places in town. I call up on my cellphone, no answer. So thinking they're not answering since my cell is an out of state number I call on the house phone, still no answer. I So I head on down there, I had to go to the post office today anyway. So I arrive at the pizza place to put the order there in person. Door's locked... who the hell is closed on a Monday? I can understand being closed on a Sunday but Monday? I looked the place up on the internet and since it's one of those family owned places, they're hours aren't posted.
So I leave and go to the post office, there's four people standing around and talking. Why? It's the post office not a box social. There's no employees so I have to ring the bell, I ask if the box can be dropped into the box, the lady just takes it and puts it with the other mail without saying a word and she speaks English, I know I've had many a package sent from that place. I think that lady just hates me.
So I decide to try the other pizza place, it's a little out of the way but why not? I head down tot the intersection and there's a small ambulance that turns before me and they speed limit is 45 and they're going 25. They're just crawling the whole fucking time. Then they stop, what the fuck? There's construction going on on the other side of the road. And they construction crew isn't going anything, they just parked their vehicles in the middle of the road.
Then I pull into the plaza. They plaza is divided into two sections, the main driveway leads to a cooperate building, and then there's a section where you turn into a plaza where there's a couple of stores and that parking lot is separated from the cooperate building's so it's not shared. I pull into the plaza with the stores, they're parking lot is divided into 3 sections, left, straight and right. U pull up tot he pizza place and it too is closed, but not only are they closed on Monday, they're closed on Tuesday too and they open at 3:30. There's several businesses in that plaza why would they have such fucked up hours?
So I leave, I'm on the far left of the plaza, and there's only one way out and that's the same way you entered. I'm coming from the left side of the parking lot, and there's this old lady who's parked perpendicular to a bunch of parking spots and she's half on the parking spots and half in the road so I have to get on the opposite side of the road to get around her. Then this other lady, pulls into the parking lot and decide that she wants to turn left. Why? I don't know everything on the left side of the plaza is closed. So she sees me and stops, I'm stuck between a car and an island, so I can't move for her, and she expected me to. While there is only one entrance where this new lady is, which is also blocking me form leaving. She just pulled in, she's still facing the way to go straight all she had to do was turn her tires back and she could go straight and would be in the center of a plaza of 5 stores, with the ones on the left being closed, where I just came from.
The idiot is still trying to come my way so I squeeze my way between the two cars and leave the area. But I was not going to be beaten so easily. I've gone through 8 counts of irritating bullshit.
1) The first pizza place not picking up
2) The first pizza place being closed when I got there
3) The lady at the post office
4) The ambulance
5) The construction crew not going anything but taking up space
6) The second pizza place being closed
7) The Lady who parked like a moron
8) The other lady who was intent on going left when going straight would be take her to the same place in a shorter distance
At that point I said fuck it, time to pick up some Red Baron pizza. Then number 9 happens, a guy at the exit of the plaza who isn't paying attention and missed several opportunities to leave and he's driving so fucking slow, he's going about 45 so that's better than the ambulance.
I get to the grocery store, as I'm walking in here comes number 10. A woman with her daughter who are leaving. The woman stops as I walk in, she looks at me and then as this smug look on her face, it's that smug smile of "I'm better than you and I know it." Look, you've all seen it before you know what it looks like.
At thins point in time my sanity was hanging by a thread and because of this woman, my sanity has snapped, it's gone. So this woman thinks she's better than me? Well god damn it, time to fucking prove it, so I turn to her and say "What the fuck are you looking at you stupid cunt?" And I say that in front of her daughter too, so maybe her kid will learn to not be a stuck up bitch. I didn't stick around to see the aftermath, I was on a quest.
I go to the freezer section, I open the door and look for the one I want. I look down, there's a tag 2 for $7... my quest has paid off, more than I thought it would. Normally Red Baron pizza is close to $7 for just one. Now knowing that this pizza has a zesty sauce I go to pick up a bottle of soda. 2 for $3... I've hit the jackpot.
I pay for my stuff and leave, and it's a straight shot home, no traffic, no construction, green lights all the way. And all this happened in 30 minutes... or less.
She just pulled in, she's still facing the way to go straight all she had to do was turn her tires back and she could go straight and would be in the center of a plaza of 5 stores, with the ones on the left being closed, where I just came from.

iPhone - Helicopters in Space Review
Here's the first episode of Cellphun Gaming, a review of Helicopters in Space!
Visit Sugar Rush Games at http://www.sugarrushgames.com/
Since iPhone games are typically short I'm not sure how the format is gonna work out so I'll just run with 1 game per review for now and see where how it goes.
You'll have to excuse the primitive recording menthod, I'm not jailbreaking my iPhone to record straight from it.

Going back to the past to go back to the future
The DeLorean is coming back in 2013 as an electric car! Sadly it's not powered by 1.21 gigawatts.
Apple vs Samsung
Yeah who hasn't beaten this to death? But I wanted to give my thoughts on it since it's finally come to the Untied States.
Apple is suing Samsung for patent infringement and Samsung is suing them for patent infringement in response. This is more talked about than the Apple vs HTC which seems to have faded away.
I like Apple's mobile devices, but I hate how they do business. But I'm not one of those douchebags that says "I won't buy their products because I don't like how they do business." If I like a product, it's made well and functions properly, I'm gonna buy it regardless of manufacturer. But what Apple is doing is dangerously walking the line of protecting it's patents and trying to eliminate the competition through lawsuits.
This lawsuit is proof that what Apple wants is a monopoly. Back in the 80s when they tried suing Microsoft for them using a GUI. It was thrown out because Apple copied it from Xerox. But what's happening now is Apple has created 1000 patents, all with very broad descriptions that can cover many things. And this whole patent war is an indirect attack on Android, everything they're suing for is because of Android devices. They know that Android is a threat to them, it's more advanced and it keeps becoming more and more advanced each month.
Why do you think the PC dominates over the Mac? Because newer and more powerful PCs come out all the time and they're more customizable, while Apple releases a new computer or device once a year with a few new features added once a year and their computers aren't as customizable and are wicked expensive.
There was a time when Apple was targeting Motorola for a patent lawsuit, and then Google bought Motorola and we haven't heard anything more from Apple. They won't sue Google directly because they know that it's a case that will drag out forever and cost a lot of money. But they have no issue with going against these smaller companies because they can't go toe to toe with Apple, while Google can.
Samsung is at fault too, their TouchWiz UI was very much like iOS. When I saw the Samsung Galaxy set of phones I thought they were Apple devices at first. And their lawyers are incompetent boobs that have no idea what products their company puts out. When Apple sent that clearly photoshopped image to the judge, they lawyers didn't do anything. Then today the judge asked the Samsung lawyer to tell the two tablets apart and he couldn't "from that distance"
Are you kidding me? How did no one from Samsung say that the picture of the Galaxy Tab was doctored? It's obvious to everyone but Samsung's lawyers. And when asked to tell the difference between the two, how do you not know? The iPad is more square shaped and has a silver backing, even if you're looking at it head on, you can see a silver lining around it. The Galaxy is more rectangular in shape and is all black with no silver on it.
I how far was this guy away from them? 20 feet maybe? I was at a Verizon store and they have a Galaxy and an iPad next to each other and I was able to tell which one is which. And standing in a courtroom he obviously wasn't looking at them head on and had to be looking at them from some kind of angle. Therefore he's either blind, doesn't know his shapes and colors or has no idea what Samsung's products even look like.
Yeah Samsung is going to be firing their lawyers for their gross stupidity. I can only imagine that after being a major supplier of iPhone parts, Samsung must feel like this lawsuit is a slap in the face.

Mobile Gaming - Death and Rebirth?
There's three mobile gaming platforms out there, the DS, PSP and cellphones.
The PSP is probably the best example of death. Most of the games on the PSP aren't that good and the PSP seems to be a system where developers dump their unused and unfinished ideas in an attempt to churn a profit.
The DS has a much stronger hold on the market, setting more of a middle ground. There's good titles but the DS really has Nintendo only keeping it alive with their own games like Mario or Pokemon, as long as those exist, Nintendo will always have a foothold in the mobile gaming market.
Then there's cellphone gaming, which seems to be where really mobile gaming innovation is taking place and would be the example of rebirth. Look at Angry Birds, such a simple game that's been done several times before, but it's exploded, there's Angry Birds plushies and even dog toys modeled after the birds. Cut-the-Rope is another title that's taken off and there's Omnom toys now.
So what's the difference between all these games? Well the PSP and DS titles are what would be considered a real game, there's a beginning and an end and a story to go with it. The cellphone games are very basic and are more of a time waster with no actual accomplishment other than getting a high score.
I have a friend who bought a 3DS on launch day and he'll go out an buy games for it, I think maybe 4 of them. Now we both have iPhones as well. He refuses to pay $1 for an iPhone game but would rather spend $40 on a 3DS game that he might not even like.
So here's a challenge, if you have a PSP or 3DS go buy 1 game for that system, then buy as many games as you can on your iPhone that are equal to the amount that you paid for the PSP/3DS game and see which one you have more fun with.
Also Game Stop is taking in iOS devices for trade ins, that's gotta tell you that cellphone gaming is just as competitive, if not more, than portable gaming.

Gaming Innovation
Gaming innovation is dead, we haven't seen anything ground breaking in gaming in a long time. There's several factors that killed gaming innovation.
Multiplayer is probably the #1 culprit. Look at games like Call of Duty, Activision is essentially releasing a map pack with a few extra weapons in it for $60. No one buys the next Call of Duty for the campaign, they buy it for the multiplayer, so they can frag their opponents on something that could of been a DLC for a game they already had.
Re-releases, ports and remakes is another reason. Why make a new game when you can re-release one of your best selling ones? Nintendo is guilty of that, several times over. Starfox 3DS is Starfox 64, which in turn is the first Starfox game for the SNES. Why would you buy it more than once? I can understand if you never owned it before, but you realize that buy buying the same game over and over just tells the developers that you want the same thing. If people stopped buying these re-releases and remakes that would send a message saying that we want a new game. DO you want a new Starfox game? A real Starfox game? Well stop buying the first one a million times over! Mega Man X4, is one of my favorite games, but I'm not going to buy it a million times. I bought it once on the Playstation and then bought Mega Man X Collection. I wouldn't buy X4 again if it was re-released on the Playstation Network. I already have it, I don't need each iteration of it.
Unnecessary sequels and spinoffs. Guitar Hero if probably the best example of this, releasing the same game constantly with different songs. Then charging a ridiculous price (I think it was like $5) for 3 songs per DLC. Rock Band had the better idea, make the songs transferable, so you're not constantly changing discs. The Mario Party is also guilty, its the same game 8 times. I can understand if one was released per console generation, but did we really need so many? This goes back to Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is on the way and has no real differences before it and it's predecessor other than new maps and weapons, something that should be a $10 DLC not a $60 game.
Not taking risks is another hindrance, look at Sonic and each game he's been in since Sonic Adventure. Sonic Team tried something different in each game and you gotta give them credit for that. Yeah there were some games that were bad, but at least they tried to do something different. Look at Mario, Nintendo stays in the safe area, essentially staying the the Mario 64 territory and not straying too far from it. Sunshine was probably as innovative as they went with Mario. Because Galaxy was just Mario 64 in space and then they made a sequel to that because there was really no where to go after going into space. Legend of Zelda too, same thing each game, collect the Triforce, kill Ganon. Look at Metroid, probably the most risk taking out of all of Nintendo's franchises. Metroid Prime was great and it was very story driven and pretty innovative for how the series panned out over the trilogy. Metroid Other-M, while not well received, tried to do bring back that old school Metroid feel but making it more how we would see Samus fight. Mirror's Edge, another game that took a risk, while there are some problems with it, the game still fared well.
Sandbox games are really a localized trash heap, mainly staying in Rockstar's front yard. When you stick someone in an environment that allows them to do whatever they want, they will do whatever the want. However the problem with sandbox gaming is that there are no consequences to your actions. You either get arrested or "killed" but you respawn outside a police station or hospital with a clean slate and can do it all over again. Need for Speed Carbon, while a racing game was also a sandbox game, and it had consequences to your actions. If the police were after you, you would have to lay low and switch to a different car because the police would remember your car and would always look for it, forcing you to change it's color/appearance. And if your car was impounded 3 times, you lost that car for good and would need to buy another. In games like Grand Theft Auto, there are no consequences like that. You don't get a record or life imprisonment, you're let out the next day and no one even remember the mayhem you caused.
tl;dr version: Developers copy/paste everything knowing gamers are stupid and will pay full price for something that should be DLC.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS
I recently got to play Ocarina of Time on the 3DS. I'm not impressed, the 3D aspect sucks. The 3D is barely noticeable and you have to look at it from the absolute most perfect angle. With other 3DS titles you can be a little off center and still get the 3D effect. I've switched from 3D to normal and back just to make sure my eyes were adjusted to it properly and I could hardly tell the difference between 3D and non-3D.
It's like when a movie was made in 2D and then they threw that 3D aspect in at the last minute and it's just a sloppy attempt at 3D.
The updated graphics are nice, but it's really sad that it's on such a tiny screen. I'm just really disappointed with the 3D aspect, because Pilotwings 3DS was really good with the 3D technology.

Jumping Flash Review
Time for another high flying adventure, although we won't actually be flying. But we'll jumping over buildings in a single, double and triple bound with Robbit in the Playstation's first FPS, Jumping Flash!
Gamestop and Apple
So Gamestop is now taking in trades for Apple iPods, iPads and iPhones and they will also be selling them too. Hopefully that means we can get pre-owned iOS devices for much cheaper than what Apple sells them for.
But is this were gaming is going? Moving on to touch screen devices? I can see that working in the causal market as there's a huge market for that but what about the mobile market?
I play iPhone games more than Gameboy/DS and PSP games. And I see more and more people playing games on iOS and Android devices than Sony or Nintendo's portable systems. I'm gonna have to say that yes, this is the future of portable gaming.
But I don't think we'll be seeing any Pokemon games anytime soon on any Apple devices. As that's the only series that's keeping Nintendo's portables alive.

it seems that the Steam version of Dead Island is full of bugs, the rumor is that what was released is a beta or debug version of the game. As players are accessing things that they should not be and seeing things that were meant to be unseen.
I think that's kinda neat, I always like seeing debug modes and the developer console or whatever. It gives you a view into the developers mind, seeing how they did it and why they put things where they put them.

Time to save the world with Punky Skunk, a game that's been hated by everyone for what seems to be no reason, but is it really that bad of a game?

Zombie games
I just saw the trailer for Lollipop Chainsaw, a game about a cheerleader who kills hordes of zombies with a chainsaw.
What the fuck? How many zombie games do we need in this age? It's like every one has to make a zombie game or a zombie DLC. It's fucking stupid. It's like we're playing the same shit over and over, look at Left 4 Dead and not Dead Island, it's like the same crap.
I'm glad we can all agree that the Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising franchises are good ones but how many times do we have to see these copy cat titles come out? It's over saturation of the market, there is a such thing as too much of a good thing you know.
Are developers really not that creative? That's just as bad as Nintendo re-releasing all their old games. It's an insult to gamers. Because they know that you're a fucking retard and will gobble this shit up.

Nintendo and it's future
After reading an article on Kotaku about Nintendo's games, it got me to thinking (a dangerous thing to do)...
I like Nintendo, they are a powerhouse in the gaming industry, however as of lately they haven't been all that great. It really started with the DS when they decided to stray into different territory, the land of the gimmicks.
And then there's the 3DS and the Wii U, which is more gimmicks. You know who also went into gimmicks? Sega. Sega had the Sega CD, the 32X, the Dreamcast with it's VMU and online play (something that wasn't ready at the time). Nintendo is treading dangerously close to where Sega was.
Nintendo also seems very content to stay in the area of party games. Another one of their problems, they made 8 Mario Party games and plenty of Mario sports games and other Mario spin-offs. And releasing the same game over and over again. Super Mario 64 has been released 3 times, the N64, the DS and the Wii Virtual Console. The Legend of Zelda the Ocarina of Time has been released several times and now they're released Star Fox 64 again for the 3DS.
Nintendo is insulting it's fans. No matter what they do, as long as the slap Mario's or Link's face on it, people will buy it. Doesn't that insult you that you bought the same game 3 times on 3 different consoles because it's creators were too lazy to make a new game? And they knew you would buy it 3 times too.
And now the 3DS is going to be $170, why? Because no one was buying it! No one wanted to spend money on a handheld that cost more than the console. And it STILL costs more than the Wii about $30 more than the Wii.
Nintendo needs to get off their ass and make some good games again. They know they can, but they're being lazy and know that their fans will buy anything they put out.

Ristar
When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires, will come to you... I call bullshit on that.
I apologize for the crappy sound quality, there were issues that I could not fix while recording.
DISCLAIMER: I really did enjoy this game, I'm just bashing it for fun.
