Rayman Origins Review
A game about the origins of the Rayman universe sign me up... wait it's not? Then why's it called origins? That's like having a prequel with the number 3 in it!

Why Game Developers Suck!
One of the problems I have with the gaming industry is that it's getting lazy. And I mean lazy, I know this is going t be one of those "back in my day" posts but I really don't care.
Remember when companies like Squaresoft (now Square-Enix), EA, Sega and Konami made their own games? All their stuff was done in house, but now look at them. They're shells of their former selves. Square-Enix barely puts out any of their own games, they mainly publish stuff. If you look at recent games of this generation of gaming, Square-Enix has a lot of games to their name, but 90% of those titles are games that they only published. They are to Japan as EA is to America. EA used to makes their own games too, but now they're one of this biggest game publishers in the world. Konami made on of my favorite games of all time, Rocket Knight Adventures, and when Rocket Knight game out, it was developed by some indie company, Konami only published it and that game was a severe disappointment.
Look at Capcom, they've barely put anything out, their last game was Street FIghter Vs. Tekken. What happened to the creativity that they used to have, it's seems that all Capcom does nowadays is whore out Street Fighter like it's their only intellectual property. What about Mega Man? Give us another Mega Man game, revive Mega Man legends 3. They need to revive it because they took so many wrong steps with it, they released it for the 3DS instead of a console, they released it as a beta to have the fans work on it in a weird Little Big Planet community project and they hardly advertised it. It was set up to fail before it even started.
Sega is no better, Sonic Team screwed up Nights Journey of Dreams, that game had terrible graphics for the Wii, it looked like it was a Dreamcast game that they ported over. Sonic 4 Episode 1 had bad physics that they never fixed, they just went "Haa, got your money now" So they saw no reason to patch it, but fixed it in Episode 2. And they treat Phantasy Star like crap too, Phantasy Star Universe 's online mode had absolutely no content and a terrible economy. Why they didn't take a queue from Square-Enix and do what they did with Final Fantasy XI? The Xbox 360 and PCs have a hard drive, give it more content. The combat in Phantasy Star is awesome, that's why I like TERA so much, the combat is essentially the same.
Some people may bring up Call of Duty and how that's so great, don't bring that shit in here. Every Call of Duty since Modern Warfare has been a map and weapons pack that Activision shits out and charges you $60 for.
Then there's Valve who are sitting on their asses counting all those nickles and dimes for Team Fortress 2 hats. Give us Half-Life Episode 3 already! The point of episodic gaming is to have short, cheap games that come out in a timely fashion. And Back the Future The Game was the ONLY episodic game to do it right. It's obvious how they did it, they made the whole game first and broke it into parts. That's how you should do it.
But that concludes this rant for now.

Portal 2 Review
Ready to have some real fun with science? Good, because thinking with portals is the only way to do it, not that dimensional shifting junk.
